Job Description

Highland House (a Division of Century Furniture) is seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our team as National Sales Manager. This role will be responsible for managing our team of domestic and international Sales Representatives, cultivating relationships with existing and new customers, and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth. The Sales Manager will maintain an office in our Corporate Headquarters in Hickory, North Carolina and is expected to travel domestically up to 50%. Frequent visits and interaction with our manufacturing teams is a must.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching, and mentoring Territory Sales Representatives.
• Actively participating with our team of Territory Sales Representatives on field sales calls with existing and prospective customers, providing positive as well as constructive feedback.
• Providing ongoing training and development for Territory Sales Representatives including consultative selling skills, effective business-building methodologies, product knowledge, and the strategic usage of a CRM database.
• Positively impacting a high level of employee drive, passion, and team morale.
• Directing and monitoring all sales activities for the division, while adhering to budgets and sales targets.
• Managing Territory Sales Representative achievements by setting clear expectations and promoting a high-performance culture.
• Establishing and monitoring a proper product mix in order to maximize gross margin.
• Coordination of promotions with the Executive, Finance, Sales and Marketing teams.
• Organizing and leading Sales Meetings.
• Collaborating with and supporting in house Customer Service team.

REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years’ experience in the Home Furnishings Industry
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design or related program
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and specifically Intermediate to Advanced Excel and Word skills
• Proven experience with Project and Sales Management
• Prior experience and success developing and leading sales and training presentations
• Demonstrated experience in business information, sales modeling, and forecasting
• Previous experience with strategically developing and administering a CRM system.
