Job Description

Kathleen Walsh Interiors, a boutique Residential Interior Design firm, is seeking a full-time (or 4 days a week) Purchasing Manager/Administrative Assistant to work with our team to deliver an exceptional project and experience for our clients. Our firm values accuracy, efficiency, being as helpful as possible and delivering a beautiful home on budget and on time. We seek a team player who shares our goals, hopefully has a good sense of humor, can balance multi-tasking with singular, deep work and enjoys working within our dynamic industry.

Job Requirements

Job responsibilities include the following:

-Processing payments to vendors after client approves proposal packages
-Triple checking order info for accuracy
-Performing "Money-In/Money-Out" functions for outside accountants
-Overseeing tracking/expediting of all orders, and inputting updates in Studio Designer software weekly
-Scheduling installations and deliveries
-Oversee problem-resolution with orders
-Create project budget updates
-Assisting designers when older clients need small tasks taken care of
-Be office "Promise Keeper": Assisting principal with staying on top of promised actions for past and current clients and industry partners
-Order office supplies and spearhead office organization
-Prep office when client meetings are being held
-Scheduling office maintenance
-Assist principal with minor travel arrangements, some personal assistant duties during time-crunches
-Assist principal with charity event participation and photo shoot arrangements

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in previous positions that heavily included production and organizational roles.
In addition, we ask that team members be:
-Able to drive and have a US Driver's License
-Legally able to work in US
-Fluent in English
-A Clear communicator
-Well organized
-Be a Team Player
-Willing to work mostly in our NYC office, with opportunities for remote days.

Our Office Environment:
-We believe in in-person work, it's how we connect and create better. That said, we enjoy flexibility. At times, remote work at home is fine for responsible team members once a flow and communication style is achieved.
-Applicants should have a preference to work with a core group of 3-4 team members, we are a small firm by design.
