This position is full time and will work with our creative team on Hilton Head Island, SC. The Design Operations Manager will manage the design process and staff. This starts with accepting residential and commercial project inquiries and continues throughout the project until completion. Key responsibilities include developing proposals, design agreements, coordinating project workloads, Commercial and Residential support staff, Project Designers, Project Managers and Administration (Receptionist, Studio Coordinator, and Design), and implementing processes to ensure all projects (Residential and Commercial) are completed on time and exceed client and company expectations. This key staff member is responsible for applying the company’s culture, quality and consistency to all design and support staff. Through analysis and knowledge of project status and timeline, the Design Operations Manager will determine adequate staffing levels for current and projected workloads. Additionally, the Design Operations Manager will oversee policies and procedures for Design Support Staff, training, ongoing development & solicit feedback from designers to evaluate and recommend new policies and procedures. Effectively communicating the status of all initiatives and work in progress to the Director of Operations is a major area of focus for this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field required, CIDA or NAAB preferred
Minimum 3 years work experience in the Interior Design or Architecture field required.
Demonstrate solid knowledge of interior design practices and procedures, such as estimating, negotiations, coordination, customer service, drafting and budgeting
Think creatively as well as visualize and develop solutions to solve client issues and problems.
Possess a high level of prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple teams and team members.
Preferred knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and not required. Required knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
